The IBEW Local 102 Retiree’s Club is open to all retired members and their spouses. The membership holds meetings four times a year to give members a chance to keep current on happenings in the Local. It also gives members a chance to ask questions and air concerns that they have about the Pension, Annuity, or Health Benefits.
Topical Programs that are of interest to most of us is the main theme of our meetings. In the past we have had Doctors, Health Care Providers, Financial Planners, Lawyers, Social Security and Medicare Programs, and Consumer Affairs Advisors. We usually have between 60 and 80 attendee’s. The Local provides a luncheon after the meeting, and it’s a great time to meet and chat with old friends.
We are interested in finding out if the Membership would like to expand our activities by way of trips or other activities. The door is open to ideas and to volunteers to help form Committees to make these ideas happen. We are also looking for someone to take pictures and write articles for publication in The Journal and the website.
Presently Local 102 Retiree’s Club President Nick Sena and Recording Secretary George VanDyke put the meetings together. If there is a Meeting Topic that you are interested in, please contact us through the Hall or on the Web at GHVD102@AOL.COM or by mail to: George VanDyke 32 Merlin Drive Washington, NJ 07882
