IBEW 102

The Local 102 Veteran's Committee is looking to put together a list of members who have served in the Military. Please email your name, branch of service and years served.

Also, we are looking to put together a slide show at the Beefsteak of our members' service time. Please email or drop off any and all photos you have of yourself, family members or friends in uniforms or time in service.

All can be emailed to hbaram@ibewlocal102.org or left at the hall for Jason Marion. We appreciate any photos you can provide, as we're looking to showcase the service our members have given to this country.

WE ARE ALSO TAKING UP A COLLECTION OF ITEMS TO SEND TO OUR BROTHERS SERVING OVERSEAS NOW!

Local 102 member Greg Gerhold, as well as several other members, are currently serving in the war in Iraq. They would love to receive messages from their brothers and sisters in the local. If you'd like to drop them a line to say hello, please contact the hall for their email.

The hall would like to put together care packages to send to Greg and the others.  If you'd like to donate any non-perishable food items or books and magazines, please drop them off on the hall. If you'd like to put together your own care package, you may send it to:

Attention Members: Effective immediately we will be converting to online sign up for all of our Journeyman courses. There will no longer be a 'list' system (your name is placed on a list and we call you when dates become available).

Going forward, any courses we have available will be placed on our Events Calendar on the website. You can view the course description and dates on the calendar and sign up right there. If you do not see a class you'd like to take, that means we have not come up with dates for that course. Upon confirmation of dates, classes will be posted immediately.

Please check our website frequently for updates to the schedule.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE BEEFSTEAK HAS BEEN CANCELED DUE TO LOW TICKET SALES. 

The Local 102 Veterens Committee will hold its second beefsteak dinner fundraiser on March 14, 2009 from 7 pm to 11pm at the Local 464 UFCW meatcutters union located at 245 Paterson Rd., Little Falls NJ.  The cost of the fundraiser is $50 with all proceeds to benefit Local 102 active duty members and their families.  The evening will consist of a 2 course meal, dessert, beer, wine, soda, and will feature live entertainment with the 10 piece band "Finish This" who play hits from the 50's 60 and 70's. This event is open to all members and their families and friends.  Tickets are available at the February and March meetings and at the Local 102 union hall.  Please make all checks payable to Local 102 Veterans Committee.  Hope to see you all there!
