Tags: All News We are pleased to announce that we are resuming our pension seminars, to help members nearing retirement age obtain answers to their questions concerning this important event. The meeting will include a presentation by Scott Shaffer of I.E. Shaffer & Co. designed to address the most commonly asked questions by participants contemplating retirement, followed by a question and answer period. These meetings will be held at the Local 102 Union Hall at 50 Parsippany Road, Parsippany, NJ. The next meeting will be held on November 27, 2007 starting at 5:00 pm. The meetings will be approximately one to two hours in length, depending on attendance and the length of the question and answer period. Future meetings will be held on the last Tuesday of the month, depending on sufficient participant interest. If you and/or your spouse are interested in attending please call, Carrie Tirpak at 973-887-1718 to reserve your spot, as attendance will be limited. Tags: All News Please note that any members that are interested in working at the refinery in Linden are required to have a minimum of OSHA 10 and they must have taken the course in the past three years. If you have OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 and you have taken the course more than 3 years ago, you are required to take a refresher course to meet the requirements of the safety policy in the refinery. This is not an OSHA requirement but it is required by the operators of the refinery. If your course was taken more than three years ago and you are interested in working at the refinery, please contact the JATC at 973-887-4828 to place your name on the list for the refresher course.
